Crypto Policy

Updated 2026-07-13 · v1.0

How crypto deposits, holdings, and transfers work on Billturex, including the risks you accept.

1. Supported assets and networks

Only listed assets and networks are supported. Sending an asset on an unsupported network — or the wrong network for a supported asset — may result in permanent loss of funds. Billturex cannot recover such transactions.

2. Deposit confirmation

Crypto deposits are credited to your Billturex balance only after the required number of network confirmations and internal verification. Confirmation times vary by network.

3. Custody

Crypto balances on Billturex are held in a pooled custodial arrangement by Billturex or a licensed custody partner. You do not control the private keys of your on-app crypto balance.

4. Volatility risk

Crypto assets are highly volatile and may lose significant value in short periods. Never send more than you can afford to lose.

5. Auto-conversion

Where auto-conversion to NGN or GHS is enabled by you, your incoming crypto is converted at the rate displayed at the time of credit, plus a disclosed spread. Rates can move between the time you send funds and the time we receive them.

6. Withdrawals

Crypto withdrawals to external addresses may be paused temporarily for security review. Fiat withdrawals from converted crypto go only to your verified linked bank account under your name.

7. Regulatory

Crypto services are provided in accordance with the current guidance of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Securities and Exchange Commission. Regulations may change, and Billturex may adjust or suspend features to remain compliant.

This document is informational and does not constitute legal advice. In case of conflict, the version filed with regulators prevails.
